what is photography?

What is photography:

1) What question does Erik pose to the audience?  
    - The question he asks the audience would be, is it photography?

2) What was Erik’s first real passion?  
    - Erik's first real passion is drawing.

3) What conception of photography did Erik previously hold? 
    - The conception Erik previously had was that when you pulled the trigger the photo was over you had to be at the right place at the right time.

4) How did this inspire him? 
    - His conception told him that the photo did not end when you pulled the trigger that you photo was just starting at that point.

5) What “common goal” do Erik’s photos have? 
    -  The common goal of his photos is making it look real but at the same time making you think about it and wonder what is happening. 

6) Define realism as used in this context. 
    -  Realism is making something that could not happen look real.

7) What principles does he adhere to when creating an image? 
    -  The principles he adheres to is making it look like he could have just taking the picture but he actually took many pictures and made it into one. 

8) Why is it easier to create a place rather than to find a place? 
    -  It is easier to make a place because you can make it your own but when you try and find it you most likely wont be able to find it because it is made up in your head.

9) How does he plan the photos?  
    - To plan his photos he draws out the pictures he wants to make before going out and getting the pictures.

10) What is his conclusion?  
     - You have all the tools you could need to make anything the only thing stopping you is your imagination.
