This photo conveys the fear of isolation. I think the photo is successful in showing the fear because it is a single flower in black and white, which shows the sadness someone feels when isolated. I think it would be more obvious what the fear is if there were more flowers and this flower was colored.
You can tell just by looking at this picture that its a fear of isolation, the way you made it only black and white, and the fact that the flower is by itself. You could improve it by making the head of the flower face down , as if its sad or depressed.
